The lecture series "Citizen Science and Participation" is part of the bachelor's programme "Digitalisation-Innovation-Society" at the University of Salzburg. Every week, international citizen science experts give lectures on different topics, e.g. Muki Haklay on "Introduction to Citizen Science" or Thomas Bartoscheck on "SenseBox - Open Hardware".

The OeAD Center for Citizen Science was invited to give a lecture on "Citizen Science and School". Various aspects were addressed: Impact as well as tips for successful cooperation with schools, the funding programme "Sparkling Science 2.0" and the "Citizen Science Award". The University of Innsbruck presented two citizen science project examples in which pupils have participated.
