This year, the literature competition for students of German in Great Britain and Ireland was held for the third time and was organised by OeAD lecturers.

The writeAUT literature competition has been organised annually since 2018 by OeAD lecturers in Great Britain and Ireland. This year's theme: "Re:write the Future! Words create an echo. Dystopia/Utopia." 27 students of German from 11 higher education institutions submitted their texts to the competition this year.

Congratulations to Saskia Cookson on winning the main prize, a trip to Vienna, and to Wiktoria Wojciechowska, who was voted the audience's favourite in the online voting!

The video of the online winner's reading with introductory words by the OeAD lecturer Judith Eberharter, who together with Kirsten Mericka created this literature competition, can be found here.

You can read about the background and the concept of writeAUT in the online publication "Brückenschläge".
