The goal of this year’s event was to illuminate the topic of career development from different perspectives. This started with a Euraxess Crash Course for newcomers (Maria Unger, OeAD), followed by updates on ERA and Euraxess (Kerstin Schmidt, BMBWF; Maria Unger, OeAD; Lil Reif, FFG). Principal items of the day were the talks on the HR Excellence in Research Award (HRS4R): Andrea Handsteiner (Head of Human Resources Development at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna) spoke about her practical experience while Ylva Huber (FFG) presented updates on the new HRS4R E-Tool on the Euraxess portal.
In the afternoon the participants exchanged information and experiences on the effectiveness of career development measures. The event ended with an update on the subject of immigration law by Peter Gaunerstorfer (head of the legal department of the OeAD).
